Thoughts so far :

• Downeast 2007 will have lots of opportunities for people from many different backgrounds to participate and become involved through volunteering.
• Committees from Hospitality, to Programming, to Transportation and more will require lots of volunteer to share their expertise, interest, and smiles with conference participants.
• The volunteer coordinator will collect volunteer requests and descriptions of volunteer roles from all of the committees, and they will recruit volunteers from the area, from participants with accompanying family/friends, interested community members, high schools, college students…etc.
• The volunteer coordinator will be the point person for all volunteers throughout the conference, to help them make the conference run smoothly, and to also make this a beneficial and rewarding experience for them.

Status:
A volunteer(s) for the coordinator position would be greatly appreciated, as well as people interested in volunteering at the conference.
