General guidelines:

• We will be providing them with online resources as well as manning NMEA central which will be an info desk about the conference and other great things going on in the Portland area.
• We are looking for ideas about what worked at previous conferences and what you would have liked to see to make the conference work and stand out, as far as “taking care” of participants.
• We will also be having a brainstorming session about services the hospitality committee will provide, roles of volunteers and volunteers required, things to do in Portland and surrounding area, activities to do before and after the conference, and resources to provide NMEA 2007 participants with.
• Some ideas so far include:
• summer camps for children to attend during the conference
• activities before and after the conference
• welcoming participants as they arrive
• creating a blog for conference participants so that they can connect before and after the conference
• More suggestions and ideas are always welcome
• Smiles too!

Status:
Gayle is working on developing the blog for the website.
